Running can be a pain in the butt. Unfortunately, I mean literally. And a pain in the hip, ankle, foot... and all kinds of other places. As I seem to develop a new ache or pain each running season, I'm learning how important at least a little cross-training is to help strengthen all of those muscles that support your running muscles and how important it is to stretch properly... I'm even working at trying to do something about it! :) Nobody likes to be sidelined due to an injury, so here are a few links to great videos from Runner's World showing some simple stretches and exercises that can keep you off the sidelines and on the run!
