We all have to start somewhere and sometimes the progress seems really slow or the distance you have to go seems impossibly far - especially when comparing to others. Try not to get down on yourself if you're not running as fast, as far, as gracefully as your friend, your running partner or the guy on the treadmill next to you. We've all done it and it generally leads to feeling down about yourself. That;s not a great motivator! Try to focus on yourself and the changes that you see in YOUR performance each week. I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you see!
